*Almost 15months*
I think it’s about time I do another post about Emma talking, the words/sounds she can say now. We are very chatty, mutters a lot and can say a few more things.
Previously we could say:
Boo (for book) – which is something else now.
Duck
Bird
Ya Ya (鴨鴨 – Duck in Chinese)
Da da / Ba ba
Ma ma – for mum
mum mum for food
“da da” (髒髒 – variation of that as dirty in Chinese)
Can’t remember what else…
Now we can say all that still… plus
Boo is actually her attempt of saying Moo (for Cow)
“Ne ne” – for milky in Chinese – for milk or sometimes for water
Uh-Oh – when things aren’t right (eg. dropped things, did something naughty; sometimes even when she has a poo nappy)
Bye bye – for goodbye, although she does use that to indicate she wants to leave, too
“Wan wan” (as woof woof for dog)
Bug for the ladybug on her PJs
Bear – we said that a few times as our favourite cartoon is Little Bear
Daddy – yes we can say daddy now for daddy, although sometimes sounds like teddy, and she does point at her teddy bears and say “Teddy“, too.
Flower – something we said once or twice
Dog – said that a few times only, as mummy always refers dogs as woof woof (bad mummy)
“Mai” (沒)- as no more in Chinese
“Ba ba” (抱抱) – for pick me up in Chinese – for holding her
“ma ma” (not very well pronounced 帽帽 – Hat for Chinese) – when she grabs the hat, kept saying “ma ma” to granddad as she wants him to put on the hats and take her out to see birds.
da – (should be Ta”) as Thank you, or “thanks, give that to me” – she says this quite a lot.
Hello – every now and then we hear this, not perfectly clear though, but we can say hello, too!
night night – for good night or for sleeping every now and then.
Finally… Bugger – much to daddy and mummy’s shock, we said this a few times, in the correct context…
That’s all I can remember for now…
